The Vice President married two White House staffers and was Biden's first wedding
The Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden, yesterday married two White House staffers at his residence in Washington, DC.
Biden married Brian Mosteller and Joe Mahshie, who both work at the White House in a ceremony for which he specially obtained a temporary certification to enable him to officiate the wedding.
He tweeted a photo of the couple saying: “Proud to marry Brian and Joe at my house. Couldn’t be happier, two longtime White House staffers, two great guys.”

Mosteller has been described by some as “the man who can basically read President Obama’s mind. He is presently the director of Oval Office operations. His new husband, Joe Mahshie, is a travel coordinator for the First Lady, Michelle Obama.
The wedding was attended by both the grooms’ families and was conducted in the living room of the Vice President’s home at the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington.
Joe Biden’s wife Jill later retweeted the Vice President’s message saying “Love is love!”
